## Popular numerical puzzles

You may not know it, but numerical puzzles are a normal part of many of our everyday lives. One such example is the Japanese puzzle known as Sudoku, invented in the 1970s.

### Sudoku

In this popular puzzle game, players are faced with a 9×9 grid containing 81 squares, divided into smaller 3×3 grids. Players must fill each of the smaller 3×3 grids with the numbers one to nine, ensuring that each row, each column, and each 3×3 grid contains each of the numbers 1-9 without any repetition.

If you thought numerical puzzles were all fun and games, and just for kids, think again! One of the most famous numerical puzzles in history is argued over by adults around the world every day.

### The Monty Hall Problem

Named after a game show host, this puzzle poses a dilemma based on probability. The player must choose one of three doors, behind one of which there is a grand prize. After making the initial selection, the player is shown one of the doors that do not contain the prize.

The question, which continues to drive people into a frenzy, is whether it is beneficial to switch your choice or to stick with the original selection.
